Wellington County

    Wellington County has a population of 200,425.  Its administration centre is located in Guelph even though Guelph is technically not a part of Wellington county but a separated municipality. (This means that Guelph is included in the Wellington census division but has its own administration.)
The county's geographical size is 1,025.74 square miles (2,656.65 sq km). For the most part Wellington county consists of rural areas and small towns but many of its residents commute to larger cities.

The Wellington County Museum is located in a building bullt in 1877 as a "House of Industry and Refuge," a poor house.  It was the oldest house of industry in Canada.
