Grand Valley

The community of Grand Valley used to be an autonomous village but it in Jan 1995 the amalgamation of the Township of East Luther and the Village of Grand Valley formed The Corporation of the Township of East Luther Grand Valley.

As you can see on the picture of the Welcome sign, East Luther Grand Valley calls itself: Nature's Playground. This name is quite appropriate; the township includes  the Luther Marsh and its wild life. The marsh covers 13,000 acres with a 3500 acre lake.  A number of years ago, for about three years in a row there even have been sightings of a moose in the marsh.  The picturesque Grand River also gives credence to the name Nature's Playground.  The Grand River recently was designated as a Heritage River   Grand Valley Home Inspector.
